Membership Umbrella Committee
The purpose of the Membership Umbrella Committee is to help provide a welcoming social environment for members and friends. We help to connect church friends and members, and assist staff with membership and hospitality classes.
We will resume these activities post-pandemic and once the church is open.
The Membership Umbrella will achieve its purpose by taking on responsibility for the following activities:

The Membership Umbrella will achieve its purpose by taking on responsibility for the following activities:
- Manage the Newcomer chats held on the first and third Sunday’s of the month.
- Manage 4 x 4 dinners throughout the year. These dinners are meant to connect current church members with new members. They meet in member’s homes at the convenience of the host.
- Manage and host the all-church potluck following the Water Communion Service, which marks the official beginning of the church year. The committee will identify newcomers, to invite to the potluck as special guests of the committee
- Manage and host a social gathering for new members following New Member Recognition Services.
- Work directly with Member & Admin Coordinator Kelly Ross to help as needed with all membership focused activities.
- Provide a themed basket for the annual church auction.
- Be mindful of our place in the larger Church family.
- Strive for clear communication with the office staff, minister and congregation.
