T'ai Chi and Qi Gong
Every Thursday night * 7:00 pm * Auditorium
The Unitarian Church has the great privilege of hosting a newly formed T'ai Chi class taught by Yin Dan Fashi (Otto Altobelli). Yin Dan and his wife moved to Nebraska last spring. We welcome members and friends who are new to the practice of T'ai Chi and hope that you will consider joining us. You may come and observe a class if you like. The cost has been set at a very reasonable level of $30 per month. If there is enough interest we may be able to offer one or two afternoon classes beginning in April. Winter Lecture Series (WLS)
The topic of the 2010 Winter Lecture Series was Pakistan and Afghanistan. Information about this year's lecture series — and about next year's series when it becomes available — can be found on the WLS page.
Writers Circle
The Open Table Writer's Circle is a group of mainly fiction writers. We offer support, critique and the shared excitement of the magic that happens between idea to the printed page. The group started after much interest was expressed from new-comers at the Unitarian Church of Lincoln, but has since expanded to include all those who call themselves writers. The group stands as a place to come, feel welcomed and share your heart. It is a place that is open to all interested in opening themselves up to creating a space for connection with their own muse.
Our hope is to support our fellow writers within the city and to build a community of writers and friends. We meet monthly for discussion, host write-ins and writer events. For a schedule and further information about our members, please visit the Open Table Writer's Circle website.
