Playing Together
Spending time together in social activities is an important aspect of our church community. Below are some of the groups which foster our connections to one another. If you don't see an activity listed that you would be interested in, or if you would like more information about any particular activity, please contact the Office Staff.
6300 Dinner Club
This is the premier way for Newcomers and Oldcomers to get acquainted. Participants attend four potluck dinners between October and June; you host one and attend three others; the host provides the entree and beverages. Adults only. Random seating is assigned. Solos and couples are welcome. Further guidelines are available at the registration table on Sundays.Activities for Men
The Membership Council Chair has received feedback from a number of sources interested in creating more activities for men in our congregation. Some activities that have been suggested include a book group, a regular men's luncheon, and a group of men that would meet for discussion one or two evenings a month. If you would like to explore the possibility of participating in one or more of these activities, or would like to suggest other possibilities, please contact Bob Shipley.
Game Night
Our monthly game nights for adults in our congregation are held in members' homes. Dates, times and locations are published in the monthly newsletter and on the homepage of our website so check there for the next night of fun and games!Men's Meet & Eat Group
Please contact Bob Shipley for further information on this group.Men's Potluck
The Men's Potluck group meets the second Monday of every month at 6:30 PM at the church.
Music
The Unitarian Church Choir performs at one Sunday service a month and is open to all members and friends. If you like the challenge of reading music and would enjoy participating in the Sunday services, simply come to one of the rehearsals in the church auditorium so that you can be part of the choir. The current rehearsal schedule can be found on the Worship Arts page.
The One-Hour Choir is a new, alternative singing experience. Each appearance of the choir is a one-time, self-contained, show-up-that morning, open-to-all experience. When it's scheduled, you show up Sunday morning at 9:00, rehearse one or two songs and then sing in the service. Please visit the Worship Arts page to learn more about The One-Hour Choir and to find out when it will next be appearing!
Newcomers Corner
The Newcomers Corner invites anyone interested to attend Newcomers Chat at 11:15 AM on the first Sunday of each month in the Church Library (Room 2).
UU Singles Group
The Unitarian Singles Group is a group for singles ages 21 and up. We are an open group that is dedicated to having fun and finding ways to socialize. Some activities that we have been involved in are monthly brunches, coffee-house nights, going to art museums, attending plays and concerts, and whatever else sounds like good entertainment. In an attempt to expand our group activities and interests, we are working with the First Plymouth singles group to co-sponsor some activities. We are also working on developing a new name for our group that would better reflect our intent as a group. We are not a "dating" group. We are adults of all ages getting together for mutual fun and support. We are open to singles and non-singles who want to get together for fun and stimulating conversation.
If you are interested in being put on our e-mail list so that you can be notified regarding upcoming events, please contact Loene Hollis.

UU Women's Federation
The Unitarian Universalist Women's Federation (UUWF) is an organization for all interested women. The purpose of the UUWF is to join together for mutual support, personal growth, spiritual enrichment, fun, and community. Through our combined strength and vision, we commit ourselves to seek a future of wholeness and integrity in a world at peace, where the worth and dignity of each individual is valued.
Four times a year, all of us meet. We call this the Umbrella Group. Our theme this year is to share and enlarge our personal spiritual growth experiences. The focus of meetings will be interaction, sharing, and self-awareness.
In addition to the Umbrella Group, UUWF provides a space for self-directed small groups for members and friends. Those currently active are a book discussion group, a luncheon group, a dinner group, and support for Fresh Start Home, which is a living program for women without children who are homeless and working on a new direction in their lives. New groups may be formed as members express interest.
UUWF dues are $25/year, with scholarships available. Plan to join us!
