Secret Friends
Secret Friends Assignments: January 17
Secret Friends Gift Exchange: January 24, 31; February 7
Secret Friends Luncheon: February 14 directly after the service
Secret Friends will meet each other at the luncheon on February 14 after church. You will find each other by the food item to be donated to the food pantry, you have been assigned.
Some Secret Friends choose to bring a final little gift to the luncheon. But remember, the goal is to have fun with your Secret Friend - not spend money.
On Secret Friends Sundays, you should:
- Leave notes, poetry, fun clues about you (not too easy clues) and small gifts for your Secret Friend in the designated Secret Friends mail box area.
- Notes to Children (2’s) – bulletin board nook in the north hallway of the RGL wing (near nursery)
Notes to Adults (1’s)- bulletin board nook in the south hallway of the RGL wing (near music room) - Please leave something during every exchange date. If you are unable, please see Tonya for help. This is to insure that no Secret Friend feels left out.
You should not:
- Leave large presents as the space is a small area and have no "spill over area" for the exchange. If you must bring something large, please bring it to the luncheon.
- Leave only presents and forget to write notes. The Secret Friends program is about geting to know each other and not getting gifts.
- Give your Secret Friend very expensive presents. Be aware that some children have siblings and if one child gets a lot and the other much less, the might cause conflict at home. Candy bars, small trinkets you might have from a trip or handmade presents are best!
- Miss the Secret Friends luncheon.
