Sunday services provide time and space for reflection, musical and intellectual stimulation, and sharing of joys and sorrows. On most Sundays, our minister Fritz Hudson leads the service. But once each month and throughout the summer, services are led by lay worship leaders and by guest speakers. This provides our members and friends with a broad spectrum of experiences and topics.
Children attend the beginning of the service with their parents or adult sponsors. After a Story For All Ages, children depart for their Religious Growth and Learning classrooms with their teachers.
Upcoming service topics are listed at right and the prepared texts of several recent services are linked here to give you an idea of the issues and challenges with which our liberal religious community wrestles. Music for our services is provided by members of our church and by guests from the community.
Informal dress is acceptable.
The church is wheelchair accessible from both the South and the West entrance. Greeters are prepared to welcome you at the West entrance. Assisted listening devices are available in the Sound Cabinet in the southwest corner of the auditorium. An usher will be able to assist you.
Coffee time follows each service. Visitors and guests are warmly invited to join members and friends for conversation and to learn about the many activities of the Church.
During the Fall-Winter-Spring season, the nursery will open at 9:45 AM each Sunday, and will be available until 12:30 PM for persons wishing to take part in after-service programming. Generally, the nursery provides care for infants and children up to age three. After age three, children are encouraged to participate in the RGL Preschool program. Child care is a free service provided to the members and visitors of the Lincoln Unitarian Church. Please be sure to pack a diaper bag for your child, and provide a change of clothes in the event of accidents.
