Policy Title: Sunday Morning Program Cancellation
Adopted: January 21, 2010
1. In the event of weather conditions likely to jeopardize the safety of persons attempting to reach church to fulfill responsibilities, the Minister will have the authority to cancel Sunday morning programs. In the Minister's absence from Lincoln , the Religious Growth Director will have this authority.
2. The Minister (or Religious Growth Director) will reach his/her decision in consultation with the Administrative Director. In the Administrative Director's absence from Lincoln , consultation will be with the Administrative Associate.
3. The decision will be made at 6:00pm on the Saturday preceding the affected Sunday morning programs. (If the decision is in regard to evening programming, the decision will be made by 2:00pm the day of the event or program.)
4. The Administrative Director (or Administrative Associate) will communicate the cancellation of Sunday morning programs through the following means:
a) Email to all church constituents (who receive the newsletter electronically)
b) Posting on Church website (front page, left column)
c) Announcement on radio station KFOR (1240am)
d) Announcement on TV station KOLN(10/11)
