The Unitarian Church of Lincoln has a longstanding tradition of supporting the visual arts in our church. All through the years dedicated individuals have arranged for artists to hang their work in the Fireplace Gallery.
Some of the artists come from Lincoln. Others from throughout Nebraska, and others from outside the state. Many things go on behind the scenes. It takes time and dedicated effort to create a professional look and approach, and a seamless flow to this gallery and its exhibits.
Gallery Coordinators: Bob Egan and Phyllis Higley. Over the years, the Gallery Coordinators have curated dozens of beautiful art exhibits in our building. The slideshow below features many of the artists beginning in January 2015 (when we returned to our renovated green building) to the Spring of 2020 when we had to close the building due to the pandemic.
