The Unitarian Church of Lincoln offers several classes that will help you on your spiritual journey. There is no cost to participate. The classes below are taught by our Membership Manager, Liz Bonney-Heermann.

Starting Point Class
Starting Point classes will give you the background of our Unitarian Universalist history and how we journey together as Unitarian Universalists. We encourage you to take this class as an exploration to see if Unitarian Universalism is for you. We hold these classes three times a year, and many times the classes are mixed with long-time members and newcomers, which gives everyone the opportunity to create connections in addition to learning more about Unitarian Universalism.
Membership Class
Once you have taken our Starting Point class and are ready to consider committing to the church, we have a membership class that provides a review of Unitarian Universalist history, the Unitarian Universalist Principles that help to guide our lives, and the history of this Unitarian church. Some people feel a strong connection and wish to join within the first year of their first visit; others have been known to take years to decide whether to sign the membership book. You are welcome here regardless of signing the membership book.
Spiritual Practice Class
Spiritual Practice is a 12-session series that helps participants develop regular disciplines of the spirit – practices that help us connect with the sacred. Spiritual Practice affirms religious diversity while seeking unity in our communal quest for meaning and wholeness. Each session lasts about 45 minutes and offers a forum for learning, sharing, and growth that can enrich our personal faith journeys. This class is offered three times a year.
