Each spring our members vote for ten organizations who are then the recipients for ten months of the following church year. The first local recipient is the Little Free Pantries LNK (Lincoln) who hosted a Stuff the Truck event on Sunday, August 8 in the Unitarian Church of Lincoln parking lot.
Thousands of dollars of food and hygiene products are stocked in the over three dozen Little Free Pantries in Lincoln each week. The things that move the most quickly are cereal, masks, hand sanitizer, and feminine hygiene products but at any given time you can find all different kinds of dry goods in the pantries. Please consider a donation to support this important work to address food insecurity in our neighborhoods. Any monies that are received before the end of August will be given to Little Free Pantries LNK in the form of a check next month. CLICK HERE for some ideas of how you might give a donation. We heard more about Little Free Pantries LNK from organizer Michael Reinmiller as a part of the Sunday Service August 8. Check our YouTube Channel to watch the service or the full interview conducted by our Admin Director Jean Helms.
