EMERGE is an intransitive verb meaning "to become manifest." The staff of the Unitarian Church of Lincoln (UCL) is working hard to manifest opportunities for our members and friends to safely gather in-person indoors and outdoors. We began offering in-person Sunday Worship Services May 9 at 25% capacity. We have also created plans for eight outdoor events over the summer that will each be family friendly, all-ages events.
Last fall, while we were in relative isolation, UCL sponsored a Virtual Spiritual Retreat on Zoom. This summer, we invite you to join us as we begin to emerge and gather in new ways! Keep an eye on your daily eblast for details of times and locations.
The Re-Entry Task Force will continue to walk us carefully through our Step-Wise Plan for Re-Entry at a pace which allows us all to gather safely. The Task Force meets regularly to respond to our changing environment and we will continue to announce decision points quickly via numerous communication channels including the daily eblasts, weekly announcements and monthly newsletter. The next Re-Entry Task Force meeting is Wednesday, May 19.
UPDATE! We have moved to 50% capacity in-person Sunday Services for May 23 and May 30, and then will move to 100% capacity as of June1.
